Ready Ledger

Description

Ready Ledger is your household’s preparedness record in one place: people, supplies, equipment, communications, medical and planning. It runs in your web browser, on your own computer. There is nothing to install, no account and no subscription, and it needs no internet connection. Nothing you enter leaves your computer.

It is built from the five Fortune Favors the Prepared workbooks: the Family Emergency Plan, the Personal Preparedness Assessment, the Mutual Assistance Group workbook, Household Recovery and Next of Kin. Enter something once and it is shared by every workbook, so your plans stay current and print whenever you need a paper copy.

Know what you have, and where it is

• Asset inventory, consumables, food storage with a days-of-supply calculator, perishables and medications
• Every item tied to the place it is kept: the house, the garage, the truck, the bin on the second shelf
• Scan items in with an inexpensive USB barcode scanner, and print numbered asset tags on standard Avery label sheets
• Printable inventory check forms, grouped the way you walk your storage

Keep your equipment running

• Service schedules by date, hours or miles: oil changes, run tests, software and map updates, battery checks
• A Coming due list with overdue and due-soon flags; logging the work resets the next due date and takes the parts used out of stock
• Specs and sizes on every item (tire size, wiper blades, headlight bulb, battery group, oil type) and a printable service history for each vehicle, generator or tool
• Spare parts in Consumables, each linked to the machines it fits, with need, have and to-buy counts
• Vehicles, campers and trailers carry their loan company and insurance policy; subscriptions and service plans carry their renewal dates

People and records

• A record for each person: contacts, skills and training, medical information, care providers and emergency contacts
• Address, education, employment and volunteer history, kept automatically as life changes, even when only one person moves
• Medical history (surgeries, illnesses, hospital stays) with the doctor and facility, and scanned records attached
• Bring in lists you already have from Excel, Word or a patient-portal printout

Plan, watch and communicate

• A communications plan built the way responders build theirs: ICS-217 frequency list, ICS-205 comms plan, radio programming, repeaters, nets and DMR talkgroups

For your family, if you cannot say

• Insurance policies and financial accounts, recorded by the last four digits only
• Estate property with value, where each is kept and who it is intended for
• File boxes and folders, so every document shows where the original is filed
• A Next of Kin file for each adult, under that adult’s own password

Private by design, and on paper when the power is out

• Sensitive sections sit behind their own passwords, with real AES-256 encryption
• Share only the sections you choose with your group; every file you send is password-encrypted
• The Print Center prints any workbook, or just the sections you pick
• Every list has a spreadsheet template and an import, so you can bring in what you already keep

For mutual assistance groups

Each member keeps an individual Ready Ledger for their own household. One person maintains the group data and shares updates, so every member holds a copy of the group plan.
