Below is a sneak peek of this content!
This article references parts of the story in my fiction books, The Meadow Protocol and book 2, After The Brush, part of The Continuity Chronicles series. Available in my store for signed paperback and hard copies for from Amazon to include Kindle and Audible. Electronic Intelligence (ELINT), sometimes referred to as electronic intel or ELEINT, is a key subset of Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) dedicated to the interception, measurement, and analysis of non-communication electromagnetic emissions. Unlike COMINT (which targets voice, data, or text messages), ELINT focuses on signals without human-readable content—primarily radar pulses, missile guidance beacons, navigation transponders, jammers, IFF (Identification Friend or Foe) systems, and other electronic emitters. In military contexts, ELINT is divided into TechELINT (technical signal parameters and emitter capabilities), OpELINT (operational patterns, locations, and Electronic Order of Battle), and historically TELINT (telemetry intelligence from missile tests, now often grouped under FISINT). ELINT reveals adversary electronic capabilities: radar types (search, tracking, fire-control), detection ranges, scan patterns, and vulnerabilities for electronic warfare (EW) countermeasures like jamming or deception. Professional ELINT uses advanced receivers, wideband digitizers, and emitter libraries to build detailed profiles. ELINT Signal Analysis Techniques ELINT analysis starts with intercepting raw pulses and extracting Pulse Descriptor Words...
