Got a DMR radio and no idea how to program it, or frustrated trying to add systems, well there are videos to help you, some on my web page, but just plain don’t have the time?
Yes they can be a daunting task. Yes they do take time. Researching repeater information, especially for DMR systems, takes a lot of time.
What you get:
- Analog and digital repeaters for your county (D-STAR, Yaesu Fusion or DMR depending on the radio you have)
. - If you have a MMDVM, or buy one through me, you will get programming set up for the Stump Knocker talkgroup as well as the following talkgroups:
– All states
– All regional
– All call areas
– All existing Skywarn, EmCOMM and other emergency talkgroups on both the Brandmeister and TGIF DMR networks
– access the F-DARN (Florida) network from your MMDVM
– access to some of the Interstate DMR network that are accessible through MMDVM (not all are)
. - If you are in a state that is covered by one of the large DMR networks that I’ve mapped you will get that as well:
– Interstate DMR network
– FDARN (Florida)
– PRN

As I develop these systems out, and add others, and if you are a Patreon member, you will get access to a portal where you can download the latest updates to load into your codeplug. These will be in the N0GSG Contact Manager (so it doesn’t matter what radio or firmware you have).
If you have ever developed a codeplug you know this is well over a days worth of work!
What you will need to do: send me a copy of what is currently in your radio to fortunefavorstheprepared@protonmail.com
What you get: you will receive a codeplug in the N0GSG Contact Manager format – all you have to do is open in the software for your radio. You will need to make sure your ID is correct and set any programmable key settings you want. The reason I supply in the Contact Manager format is that it prevents any issues with you having a different firmware in your radio or CPS software version to what I have.

If you have an Anytone radio then you read your radio and send me the default codeplug I will supply back in the Anytone format so all you have to is load back into your radio.

You ship me your radio – this option is best if you are having me set up a MMDVM for you because then I can make sure your radio works with your MMDVM. This is the best option because we’ve found instances where the MMDVM works with my radio but won’t with your. This is because some radios require a frequency variance to be set in the MMDVM. You can do this calibration yourself.
