Day 3 – More Training
Tuesday 13th May 2025
Woke at 3.30am so I had time to do some marker training with Boomer before I had to leave for work. Boomer can now get down the steps of my camper, but waits for me to step out first. He’s still a little hesitant but once he decides he jumps on down.
After he took care of business we did some walk and turn training for about 10 minutes, despite a light rain. Back inside we did some marker training and then he went back into his kennel, but not until after he had taken a few nips out of the back of my leg, and drew some blood! When he gets older and better at commands I’ve no doubt he will take someone down with that “technique”! I left about 4.15am.
My daughter got him back out about 7 after she had taken the grandkids to daycare.

After some playtime with my big sister we both needed a nap.
I got home about 5.30pm and even though it was raining we did some walk and turn training after some supper.
We then chilled watching a TV series that I’ve gotten into but only get a chance to watch once or twice a week. I did put the remote collar on as he’s still in the mode of chewing anything he can get his teeth into.
Oh, and dad says to remind everyone that he has a bunch of mindmap posters he got printed for Mountain Readiness but didn’t sell so you get 25% off until the end of the month, use code MS_Boomer (that’s me!)
