PLN-04: Preparedness Conditions (PREP-CON)
A structured, self-paced course in the five-level PREP-CON readiness scale — turning vague unease into pre-agreed triggers and actions, before the moment arrives.
No prior course required. PLN-04 is a foundation-track course — it assumes no prior FFTP training. If you want the communications side covered first, COM-01: PACE Communications Planning pairs well before or after this course.
What this course covers: the five-level PREP-CON readiness scale, how to read and write both direct and indicator-based triggers, the action set for each level, localizing the national baseline to your own situation, and building your own Triggers & Actions Annex. A deeper dedicated course on Communications Conditions (PLN-05, COMCON) exists for the communications-specific escalation path — this course touches it and tells you where to go for the full depth.
Related curriculum: PLN-01, Community Situational Awareness covers structured MAG welfare sweeps and lifeline reporting that feed the same operational picture. COM-01, PACE Communications Planning is the household communications skill this course assumes you already have. PLN-05, COMCON defines the communications condition levels your PREP-CON posture interacts with.
