Fuel, Power & Mechanical Logistics
The fuel, generator, and solar depth referenced but never taught elsewhere in this curriculum — for groups who’ve completed LOG-01 and are ready to go deeper on power.
Course Overview, One Page
A single printable page covering what LOG-06 teaches, the 6 lessons, what you need before starting, and the doctrinal sources behind the method. Useful for deciding whether the course is for you, or for handing to somebody in your group who is weighing it up.
Why This Course
By the end of this course, you’ll be able to:
- Match approved containers to fuel type and set a rotation schedule based on how each fuel actually degrades
- Run a safe fueling procedure built around never fueling running or hot equipment
- Calculate a real generator load from actual equipment, including the starting-watt spike most sizing mistakes miss
- Place a generator safely, cover CO detection properly, and never back-feed through a wall outlet
- Size a basic solar system from watt-hours needed, not panel wattage alone
- Integrate fuel, generator, and solar into one power plan across the group’s scenario tiers
Lessons
Container classes by fuel type, code-awareness categories, and rotation by fuel chemistry.
Vapor behavior, ignition sources, and a safe fueling procedure.
Running vs. starting watts, a real load calculation, and generator types.
Safe placement, the CO hazard, maintenance, and why back-feeding is never acceptable.
Components, sizing from watt-hours, battery chemistry, and realistic derating.
Integrating fuel, generator, and solar into one plan across the scenario tiers.
How This Course Works
| Format | Self-paced online lessons, each pairing a concept (illustrated with diagrams in Lessons 4 and 5) with a worksheet you apply to your group’s actual equipment. |
| Prerequisite | LOG-01 Lessons 3 & 6 at minimum, ideally the full LOG-01 course. References LOG-02 Lesson 2, LOG-03 Lesson 5, and LOG-04 Lesson 3 directly. |
| Progression | Start with the Orientation check on the Course Map. Each lesson unlocks the next once its knowledge check is passed — progress is saved in your browser. |
| Certificate | Unlocks automatically once all 6 lessons are complete. |
