MDCOA — Most Dangerous Course of Action
Learn to plan against the worst credible threat, not just the most probable one — and know the difference between the two.
Most planning fails the same way: it prepares for what a threat will probably do, and has nothing ready for the one time the threat does something worse. This five-lesson course teaches you the military-derived MDCOA/MLCOA framework — the habit of building both a most-likely and a most-dangerous course of action for any threat, testing the worst case for real feasibility instead of letting it become an exaggerated fear, and (in the capstone) running both through a structured analytic technique so neither judgment rests on guesswork.
MDCOA thinking is standard in military intelligence planning and almost entirely absent from civilian preparedness education. This course brings that tradecraft to household, homestead, and MAG-level threat planning.
