What this course builds, lesson by lesson
LOG-01 Lesson 3 teaches you to run the cache system — T-cards, floor levels, FIFO rotation. This course is the deep dive on everything that has to be decided before that system has a cache to operate on: where it goes, what it’s stored in, how it’s tracked, when it becomes more than one site, how it’s secured, and how it grows. If your group has already completed LOG-01, this picks up exactly where Lesson 3 left off.
| Lesson | Builds |
|---|---|
| 1 — Site Selection | Scoring candidate sites against accessibility, security, environmental risk, and OPSEC exposure before committing to one. |
| 2 — Container & Environmental Protection | Matching container class to item category, plus fuel and hazmat segregation rules. |
| 3 — Inventory Schema Design | The fields, ID conventions, and tracking method every record needs — designed before the cache fills up. |
| 4 — Multi-Cache Architecture | When and how to split a single cache into multiple sites, and what changes when you do. |
| 5 — Cache Security Tiers | Physical security matched to threat level, and access compartmentalized by role. |
| 6 — Expansion & Capacity Planning | Growth triggers, cost-per-cubic-foot tradeoffs, and a 12-month forecasting habit. |
Prerequisite
This course assumes your group has completed LOG-01 Lesson 3 (Cache Planning & Inventory Architecture) at minimum, ideally the full LOG-01 course. Terms and frameworks introduced there — the C/D/A tracking categories, T-cards, floor levels, FIFO rotation, PREP-CON levels — are used throughout this course without being re-explained.
How to use these lessons
Each lesson follows the same structure as LOG-01: a concept section, an application note connecting it back to your group’s actual context, and a drill with an embedded worksheet. Work them in order — later lessons (especially Lesson 4 on multi-cache architecture and Lesson 6 on expansion) build directly on decisions made in earlier ones.
Every lesson ends with a knowledge check, and the next lesson stays locked until you answer all of its questions correctly. As with LOG-01, the feedback on each option is written to explain the reasoning, not just mark the answer right or wrong — read it even when you get a question right the first time.
Orientation Check
Answer both before starting Lesson 1 below. These two questions check your footing; they do not lock any lesson.
