INT-16: Pattern of Life Analysis, Ops Depth
Area pattern analysis at production depth, feeding the Daily Threat Report and the PPAR.
Why This Course
By the end of this course, you’ll be able to:
- Size a production area to the group’s capacity, and build its event template across INT-08’s four domains.
- Keep a baseline that covers its cycles, survives a missing observer, and reads the same to any analyst.
- Analyze the area’s incidents for where, when and how, and turn the pattern into a likely-target list.
- Take a candidate deviation through a five-step gate to a stated judgment, including multi-domain cascades.
- Write DTR area entries in baseline language, and assemble the evidence a PPAR needs for its scores.
Lessons 01–06
What production adds to INT-08, sizing the area, the area event template, and the line.
Three cycles, a weather record, two independent sources, per-cell thresholds, and two analysts reading alike.
The coordinates register, plot sheet, incident matrix and likely-target list, from FM 2-22.3 and FM 34-2-1.
The five-step deviation gate, cueing, INT-08’s cascade chains across days, and bias traps.
DTR area entries in baseline language, and the evidence pattern analysis supplies for a PPAR.
The production rhythm, re-baselining, handoff, and a week of scenario data through the whole loop.
How This Course Works
| Format | Five lessons and a capstone, each with knowledge checks you must answer correctly to continue |
| Sequence | Lessons unlock in order; progress is saved in the browser you use |
| Prerequisite | INT-08 Reading Your Ground: Pattern of Life Analysis |
| Recommended | INT-12 (indicators), INT-01 (competing explanations), INT-19 (radio baseline) |
| Capstone | A week of scenario data through the full production loop, ending in a DTR entry and PPAR evidence |
| Certificate | Unlocks on the Course Map once all six lessons are complete |
