CONCON — Continuity Conditions
A civilian operational posture framework for households and Mutual Assistance Groups
Why This Course
By the end of this course, you’ll be able to:
- Explain what CONCON is and how it differs from PREP-CON and COGCON
- Read the five-level CONCON scale and identify the civilian focus and posture at each level
- Adjust communications, power/technology use, and information flow to match a given CONCON level
- Apply the four operating disciplines that keep a posture change deliberate rather than reactive
- Select and justify the correct CONCON level for a degrading scenario

How This Course Works
| Format | Six short lessons, the last a scenario-based capstone, each with knowledge checks. |
| Pace | Self-paced. Work through lessons in order; each one unlocks the next. |
| Certificate | Available from the Course Map once all six lessons are complete. |
The course is built on top of a public FFTP technical reference, CONCON — Continuity Conditions — the full scale, comparisons to PREP-CON and COGCON, and the framework’s origin in The Continuity Chronicles.
It sits outside the paywall on purpose. Read it before you start and the lessons will land faster; read it afterward and it is the reference you keep. It is also the thing to hand somebody in your group who needs the reasoning without taking the course.
The lessons reinforce it rather than repeat it: each one carries the working subset you need on the ground, and points back to the article for the full treatment.
