The Student Companion Guide holds the reference tables, the blank worksheets, and the capstone checklist in one printable document — everything you fill in, none of the instruction. Work each lesson online first, then use the matching chapter. A printed and bound edition is available if you would rather not run off twenty-three pages.
The tone and code cross-reference is the lookup table Lesson 02 sends you to: every CTCSS tone and DCS code against the number each manufacturer displays for it, so you can turn a radio’s privacy code into the hertz value your plan actually needs. Compiled by N0TFU, June 2026 revision.
The blank ICS 205 is FEMA’s own form, version 3.1, with the block-by-block completion instructions on pages 2 and 3.
The Excel workbook is the one to actually work in. It holds your ICS 217A catalog and your ICS 205 plan on sheets whose columns are deliberately aligned, so building a plan is a single copy and paste out of the catalog rather than retyping frequencies under time pressure. It arrives with the FRS and GMRS channels already filled in, and a column that flags rows missing a bandwidth designator or a valid mode.
Lessons unlock in order. A lesson opens once every knowledge check in the one before it has been answered correctly. Anything you have already finished can be reopened at any time.
