The US and Iran agreed to a Memorandum of Understanding on Sunday. The signing ceremony is Friday, June 19th, in Switzerland. Brent crude fell more than 4% today – the lowest price since March.
Here is the honest picture going into Friday.
The deal nearly collapsed on Sunday. The IDF struck Beirut’s Dahiyeh district after Hezbollah fired on northern Israel – three people killed. Iran’s military said it “will not allow this to go unanswered.” Israel is not a party to the MOU and has explicitly said it is not bound by it.
The IAEA gets no access under this agreement. Iranian FM Araghchi confirmed it explicitly: “the agreement does not create access.” The 440.9 kg of 60%-enriched uranium – enough fissile material for multiple nuclear weapons – remains unverified and unaccounted for. HEU disposition is deferred to Phase 2 talks within a 60-day window after signing.
Hormuz reopens upon signing, but mine-clearing takes weeks. Shipping normalization takes months. DHL projects four to six months to full freight baseline. The market has priced in the deal. Physical barrels through Hormuz will lag by months.
Here is what else is in today’s report:
CYBER – Oracle PeopleSoft CVE-2026-35273 ransomware deadline hit TODAY. Ivanti Sentry unauthenticated root-level RCE deadline passed yesterday. Check Point is now four days overdue. The FBI confirmed active spoofing attacks on the official FIFA website and platforms this week – 300 criminal clone domains are running credential and payment harvesting operations against World Cup traffic right now.
FIRE WEATHER – Fire weather goes elevated-to-critical Tuesday across the Northern Intermountain West, Snake River Plain, and Great Basin. The South Fork Fire in Nebraska has active evacuation orders. The 2026 season is running at 195% of the 10-year average for acres burned with the National Preparedness Level at 2 of 5.
G7 – The summit opened today in Evian-les-Bains, France with Trump present. On Sunday in Geneva, Black Bloc protesters torched a Tesla, smashed bank windows, and clashed with Swiss police deploying tear gas. Further demonstrations are expected today and Tuesday.
BELFAST – Day 7, de-escalating. The largest anti-racism rally ever held in Belfast took place Saturday. 23 arrested, 17 charged. Wired confirmed a neo-Nazi Active Club network orchestrated the violence. That network has US affiliates.
EBOLA – 676 confirmed cases and 136 deaths in DRC as of June 10. Plus 41 cases and 9 deaths in the last 72 hours. Contact tracing is at 45% when WHO requires 90%. Brazil suspected case confirmed negative. No US cases. CDC risk: LOW.
WORLD CUP – Iran vs New Zealand tonight in Los Angeles (~9 PM PT at SoFi Stadium). Iranian-American diaspora protests are pre-staged outside. Extra security deployed. Iran’s sports minister pre-threatened a walk-off if protesters display unauthorized symbols inside the stadium.
NWR – 31 NOAA Weather Radio transmitters are out of service or degraded. New Mexico has a triple gap – Roswell, Artesia, and Carlsbad are all out – leaving eastern NM with no primary radio alerting during active fire weather.

Three resources worth your attention this week:
MAG WORKBOOK
The current operating environment – active conflict, degraded supply chains, fire season, civil unrest, cyber threats – is exactly what Mutual Assistance Groups are built for. The MAG Workbook gives you a structured framework to organize your group before you need it: roles, communications plans, shared resources, security protocols, and decision-making when normal services aren’t available.

MAG LOGISTICS TRAINING
Building the group is the first step. The MAG Logistics Training course covers the harder part: how to resource, supply, and sustain your group through an extended disruption. If your network exists but isn’t operationalized, this is what comes next.
