We spend time stocking up on food and other supplies, we put together get home and bug out bags, we learn to do tactical shooting (not just shooting at paper targets), we learn map reading and compass skills so we are not just reliant on GPS, we learn how to use a ham radio, not just for local communications but for around our state, the country and other worlds, so we can get and receive information. But what do we know about our own neighbors? Do we know which ones are also prepping, or would be inclined to do so with a little prompting? Do we know who would turn us in as the ‘nut with a gun’ the minute they see us carrying gear for a trip to the range. Do we know who have useful skills such as a doctor, nurse, paramedic, firefighter, EMT, veterinarian, mechanic or someone who can build anything out of anything? Who has their own garden and grows their own food, know how to preserve by canning, freeze drying or other methods?
